Gold colored and brilliant itsy bitsy bubbles rising. The nose delivers a distinct cheesy aroma that, while blowing off to a degree after a time in the glass, still remains as the dominant aroma. Once the cheese melts somewhat, a bit of farmyard rises along with muted dried apple notes. Semi sweet ripe apple flavors dominate the palate. These are accompanied by a hint of funk. The tannins are really beautiful. Very refined, lingering and sleek. Acid deficient and no significant alcohol notes. In the end this is just fine with no aspirations to be more than a quaffer. However, love those beautiful tannins.
